including Bob Jones High School, the Kroger Shopping Center, the Madison City Library and Dublin Park.

Vannoy, who has a background in electrical engineering, is currently employed by Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Huntsville. Although he was born to a military family in Oklahoma and has lived in 11 states, Japan and Germany, he has been a Madison resident since 1986.

Since moving to Madison, Vannoy has worked with many organizations including the Madison Street Festival, the annual Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride, and local sports and recreation programs. He has also been a liaison to the Madison Chamber of Commerce, Recreation Advisory Committee and Planning and Zoning Board.

In his upcoming term, Vannoy hopes to accomplish several goals including undertaking safe city initiatives, reviving the Adopt a Road cleanup process, establishing a community volunteer database and volunteer recognition program, and tackling road projects in the city.

His other objectives include establishing a city intern program for high school and college students, identifying funding sources, enhancing city recreation programs, and implementing the City Growth Plan.
