Wing Zilla Grill serves wings and more on County Line

Whether you like scorching hot or tasty teriyaki, Wing Zilla Grill will serve hot wings to satisfy any taste.

Wing Zilla Grill has opened at 10871 County Line Road, Suite E, which is adjacent to Palmer Road.

Owner Kwang Stophel prepares finger-licking hot wings. “Our wings are fresh, never frozen. We do not serve small wings either,” she said. “You are guaranteed to have some meaty wings to eat.”

“I definitely believe our wings taste better than at other restaurants. Wings are our specialty — not just an item on the menu,” Stophel said. “Not to mention, our sauces are homemade by the manager. Our burgers are hand-patted. Chicken breasts are filleted daily.”

Wing Zilla offers more sauces than most restaurants. Degrees in ‘hot’ range from mild, hot, extra hot, Help to Ghost. Other flavors include Jamaican Jerk, garlic butter, Korean hot & sweet, lemon pepper wet or dry, along with hot or regular versions of teriyaki and barbecue.

Crowd favorites at Wing Zilla are fried pickles, fried Korean mandu, cheese fries, several varieties of burgers, chicken sandwiches and homemade peanut butter pie.

“I opened Cricket’s in Madison in February 1999,” Stophel said. Since then, she has been in the restaurant business and previously owned two other restaurants, most recently the Wing Zilla Grill in downtown Athens.

“Wing Zilla Grill will be successful in Madison because it is a thriving city in need of a wing place to call home,” she said. “The residents of Madison and their loyalty is what will make Wing Zilla Grill successful.”

Stophel believes her secret to success is commitment “to satisfy every customer. The owner and manager are always on-site to be sure every customer receives not only great customer service but awesome food.”

If a complaint does arise, “rest assured it will be handled immediately,” Stophel said.

Wing Zilla Grill is open Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch. Dinner hours are Tuesday-Thursday from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m.
