Special Education Parent Connection meets Monday at Bob Jones

The Special Education Parent Connection monthly meeting will be held on Oct. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the media center at Bob Jones High School.

Presenters will discuss the transfer of parental rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), wills and guardianship, estate planning and Special Olympics, Dr. Maria Kilgore said. Kilgore is director of special education for Madison City Schools.

Presenters will be attorneys Rod Lewis and Meredith Wolfe, estate planner Walt Boost and Amanda Garvin, Special Olympics coordinator for Madison City Schools.
