Lankford/Battle Allstate Agency focuses on communication, availability

Lankford/Battle Allstate Agency Inc. uses its expertise to provide protection against life’s emergencies, along with allowing peace of mind for families.

Agency owner Carolyn Lankford and her daughter Lauren Battle, who handles business development, use their respective skills. “As a mother-daughter team, it’s a family business. That helps us to focus on the families that we serve,” Lankford said.

The Lankford/Battle agency specializes in policies for automobiles, home, commercial vehicles, small business, life and financial services, such as retirement planning and annuities.

“We periodically review clients’ policies for adequate coverage at the best price,” Lankford said. “We make a commitment for availability by office or cell phone for a claim or after hours. We follow up during the claims process.”

Throughout the year, Lankford and Battle contact clients about any lifestyle changes that warrant policy updates.

One of Allstate’s newest features is “claims satisfaction guarantee for our auto policy. If after filing a claim, the client is not completely satisfied, they can receive a refund up to the six-month premium for that vehicle,” Lankford said. “We make sure our customers are aware of new features.”

Madison’s unique demographic attracted Lankford. “Madison is a very unique town and continuing to grow but still like a small community,” Lankford said.

Lankford likes Allstate’s “Mayhem” television commercials. “Allstate has some of the best marketing” to show importance of a local agent and appropriate coverage.

In community outreach, the agency’s booth at Madison Street Festival featured “X the Text” pledges. “We were pleased with response from adults and teens taking the pledge. Distracted driving, especially texting, is the no. 1 reason for teenager accidents. It can be avoided,” Lankford said.

About 22 years ago, Lankford entered the insurance field when an Allstate manager contacted her and said insurance was a way to help people — a good fit for her background in social work. “It has been a great career. I love what I do,” she said.

Noreen Green and Emily Tygielski also work at the agency.

Lankford/Battle Agency’s address is 7771 U.S. 72 W., Suite A (at the intersection with Hughes Road, behind Starbucks).
