Alabama Sleep Clinic opens in Madison

A good night’s rest leads to better health and now is within reach with the opening on Alabama Sleep Clinic in Madison.

“At Alabama Sleep Clinic, we treat everything from sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, restless legs and even pediatrics,” marketing director Rebecca Stacy said. “Treatments available for sleep apnea include the CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine and the oral appliance.”

Patients undergoing overnight sleep study will be admitted to Crestwood Medical Center, Huntsville Hospital, Madison Hospital or Decatur Morgan Hospital at the Decatur General Hospital campus.

The primary professionals in the practice are Hunter Hearn, M.D.; Edward Turpin, M.D.; James Roy, M.D. and doctorate degree; and Kelly Watson, certified registered nurse practitioner.

“Dr. Hunter Hearn and Dr. Edward Turpin are both board certified in sleep medicine and psychiatry,” Stacy said. “Dr. James Roy is board certified in sleep medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics.”

Physicians at Alabama Sleep Clinic are experienced in numerous specialties. “We are able to treat ages 2 and up and have knowledge and training to treat insomnia or other psychiatric sleep-related issues,” Stacy said.

The staff at Alabama Sleep Clinic is committed to helping those with sleep apnea and other sleep disorders overcome their condition and regain the ability to feel rested after waking, Stacy said. The clinic physicians and professionals were trained at leading medical institutions and have treated more than 20,000 patients suffering from sleep disorders.

The doctors believe in providing a comfortable environment. “Time is taken to explain the evaluation process and treatments for informed decisions about your care,” Stacy said.

Alabama Sleep Clinic has 17 employees. Holly Nation works as practice administrator. Marilee Doepel and Dixie Craft are CPAP coordinators and fit patients with their CPAP machines.

The Madison clinic’s address is 12205 County Line Road, Suite C in Madison Professional Plaza, next door to Redstone Federal Credit Union. Alabama Sleep Clinic accepts all insurance coverage.
