Bidding open through Christmas Eve on painting to benefit Sandy Hook survivors

Local artist Angie True is auctioning an original painting to help surviving families at Sandy Hook (Conn.) Elementary School.

After the murders, True realized that her painting of a distressed girl eerily resembled one of the children.

Bidding is open until midnight on Christmas Eve. All funds will go to Sandy Hook Support Fund, in care of Newtown Savings Bank in Newtown, Conn. The money will stay in the Newtown community, True said.

“If you’ve wanted to help but just didn’t know how, this is one way to help these folks,” True said.

To place a bid, visit Facebook/Angela Kimberling True and either place your bid in the Comment line or send a message to True.
