Jerry Dean Cobb; Jan. 2, 2013

Jerry Dean Cobb, age 64, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.

Mr. Cobb was preceded in death by his parents, Duke Preston Cobb and Pearlie Lou Cobb; his sister Mary Louise Key; his brothers, Duke Glen Cobb, Bobby Edward Cobb, James Lloyd Cobb, and C. W. Cobb.

Jerry worked at Dunlop/Goodyear for almost 25 years. He also served as their local Union Timestudy Representative for 13 years. Jerry loved life, family and Auburn Football.

Jerry leaves behind his wife, Delinda G. Cobb; his daughter, Tabatha Ragland and husband Ward of Huntsville; his daughter, Lauren Ann Cobb and special friend John Francis of Madison; his grandchildren, Wills, Tanner, and Riley Jane Ragland of Huntsville; his brother, Ray Cobb and wife Billie Jean of Athens; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Of special mention is his niece, Tamitha Dollman and husband John, and their daughter, Tessa Grace, whom Jerry and Delinda consider their children and grandchild.

Funeral services were on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville. The family received friends on that day from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the UAB Neuro-Intensive Care Unit.
