MADISON — With thousands of jobs expected to be cut following the budget cuts and the economy still struggling, entrepreneurship may be at an all time high and a Madison business is looking to mold the future business innovators of America.

The Madison Entrepreneur Center cut a ribbon to signify not only their business opening, but hopefully busniesses opening for others as well at their Tribble Rd. location.

“This has been my dream for a while now,” Brenda Harper said. “It is great to have this finally happen and I could not have made it here without my family and God.”

Harper said that she opened the center in hope others in the future will start businesses and help ease the unemployment that has gripped the nation since 2008.

“I wanted to do this also for my son,” she said. “These children are our future and this is why I opened this center.”

Mayor Troy Trulock said that he was excited to see the center open especially with the budget cuts that are expected to impact the area in the coming years.

“You know the Madison Entrepreneur Center opened up at the perfect time with sequestration coming up,” he said. “There are going to be people out there looking for jobs but there are going to be a lot of people out there looking to start their own business.”

Trulock noted that his daughter Whitney has a focus on entrepreneurship while studying business at Auburn University.

Harper said with its numberous office space and and already rented out main hall, the Madison Entreprenur Center is happy to be a part of and also contribute to the Madison community.
