Stephen Morgan; March 30, 2013

Mr. Stephen Morgan passed away March 30, 2013.

Stephen Aaron Morgan,43, was born in Decatur, on December 18, 1969. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Garland and Mary Louise Roberts and Donald and Ethel Morgan.

Stephen was a Eagle Scout in Boy Scout Troop 16 and a member of Order of the Arrow. He was active in youth choir, handbells, and especially in the Clown Ministry at Westminster Presbyterian Church. He loved the years that he spent at Montreat Conference Center with the Youth Choir and working in the bookstore.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Roberts Morgan of Decatur; his father, John Thomas Morgan (Kate) of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Sarah Elizabeth Richardson of Decatur; a brother, Peter Joseph Morgan also of Decatur; and a very special friend, Diane Wray.

The family would especially like to thank Dr. Daniel Gifford, Dr. Reginald Gladish, Dr. Kirk Jackson and Nephrology of North Alabama for their care.

Memorial services will be held at St John’s Episcopal Church in Decatur. The time will be announced at a later date.

One of Stephen’s last requests was that there be no flowers and that donation be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1788, Decatur, Alabama 35602 or Committee on Church Cooperation, P.O.Box 131, Decatur, Alabama 35602
