Paige LeClay Stagner II; May 31,2013

Paige LeClay Stagner II, 80, passed away Thursday. A native of Murphysboro, IL, Paige lived in Huntsville since 1961. He graduated from Southern Illinois University and received his MBA from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. After serving in the US Army, he was a Security Specialist in the defense industry throughout his career. Paige served many years as the choir director at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and Valley United Methodist Church. He also sang in the Huntsville Community Chorus and played in the Huntsville Concert Band.

Paige is survived by Norma, his wife of 58 years; daughters, Jennifer Bentley (Paul), Anne Young (Frank), Terri Stagner-Collier (Chris); daughter-in-law, Rita Stagner; and brother, Ken Stagner, (Helen). Grandchildren include Katie Veren (Daniel), Robert (Laura) and Megan Crawford, Steven and Keith Bentley, Frank IV, Rebecca and Sarah Young, and Nellie and Reid Collier. Great-grandchildren are Paige and Claire Veren and Mark Crawford. He was preceded in death by his son Paige Stagner III and his grandson, Paige Stagner IV.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 11 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, with the funeral service following. After a reception at the church, a service of committal will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with military honors. (www.laughlinservice.com)
