Pauline Ann DeLisle; June 2, 2013

Pauline Ann DeLisle, 94, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully Sunday. Mrs. DeLisle was born in Tonawanda, New York to John and Laura Krauss. She served on the United States Army Hospital Ship Charles A. Stafford as a Registered Nurse caring for wounded soldiers and transporting them across the Atlanta Ocean from Germany to South Carolina. She retired as a Captain in the United States Air Force. Later, she worked at Huntsville Hospital as a floor charge nurse. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her spry personality and joie de vivre.

Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, retired Lieutenant Colonel Arthur B.C. DeLisle; her daughter, Paula DeLisle and son-in-law, Steve Lazar, of Hong Kong; her son, Dr. Gregg DeLisle and daughter-in-law, Donna, of Huntsville; her grandchildren, Dr. Matthew DeLisle and his wife, Dr. Jessica DeLisle, of Columbia, Tennessee, Sara Beth DeLisle of Birmingham, Allison DeLisle of Denver, Colorado, Laura Marie Lazar of New York City, New York, and Justin Lazar of Hong Kong; and her great-grandchildren, Wilder and Rivers DeLisle of Columbia, Tennessee.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 10, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Inc.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Redstone Village for the excellent care and love they provided. The family also thanks Asera Care for their help in caring for Pauline.
