Madison Police arrest man in connection to July bank robbery

MADISON — A Huntsville man was arrested Tuesday in connection to a robbery that occurred July 17, 2013 at Wells Fargo Bank in Madison.

Julian Terrell Timmons Earskine Jr., 31, of Huntsville was arrested on the charges of robbery in the first degree and theft of property in the first degree, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the Madison Police Department.

On July 17, 2013, Madison police officers responded to a robbery at Wells Fargo Bank, located at 9044 Madison Boulevard. Police said the offender fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of currency prior to officers’ arrival. Madison police began an investigation, attempting to identify and locate the offender.

Detectives from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office assisted in identifying the suspect. Earksine had been arrested by the Sheriff’s Department for another bank robbery that occurred Sept. 10, 2013.

Detectives with the Madison Police Department obtained warrants for Earskine’s arrest Tuesday, and the warrants were served on Earskine at the Madison County Jail, where he was being held on other charges.

Earskine’s bond for robbery in the first degree is set at $60,000, while his bond for theft of property in the first degree is set at $30,000.

The Madison Police Department said they are appreciative of the cooperation and assistance from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in this investigation.
