Hogan Family YMCA announces soccer, strength and nutrition classes

MADISON – Hogan Family YMCA will offer several new programs in upcoming weeks.

Registration for youth spring soccer will be open through Feb. 14. Late registrations will end Feb. 21.

The eight-game soccer season is open to three- through 12-year-olds. Cost is $60 for YMCA members and $95 for other families.

Kids Night Out will be Feb. 15 for four to 12-year-olds to enjoy games, pizza and swimming. “Mom and dad can ‘chillax’ from 6 to 10 p.m.,” Mary Anne Swanstrom said. Swanstrom works as director of communications for Heart of the Valley YMCA.

Fee for Kids Night Out is $10 for all families, regardless of membership.

During Women on Weights (WOW), female personal trainers who have been certified will lead strength training. Classes will be offered from Feb. 24 to April 3 on Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 or 11:30 and on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

Fee for WOW is $75 for members or $100 for women who aren’t YMCA members.

GO!Kids, a free program, will start March 4. Children from seven to 12 years old can enroll in the eight-week exercise and nutrition program. Membership is not required.

Facility hours at the YMCA are Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
