The algebra II team placed second, with Joey Li placing first in the state and Winston Van in second place. Other team members were Amelia Goldston and Anthony Zhu. Kevin Duan placed 14th in comprehensive testing.

Coach and math teacher Kimberly Cox received state results recently. “The algebra 2 team was the district winner and placed second in the state,” Cox said.

Joey Li won first place at the district and state levels. Winston Van earned second place in district and fourth place in the state.

“Our top four team members — Joey, Winston, Ada Vanderzijp-Tan and Anthony Zhu — all placed in the top 25 percent of students in the state,” Cox said.
