HUNTSVILLE – The Alzheimer’s Association will sponsor a “Forget Me Not” weekend on March 22-23.

On March 22, the weekend starts with a free “Praise in Purple” prayer breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at Springhill Suites, 745 Constellation Drive in downtown Huntsville.

“The guest speaker will be Garrett Davis, an Alzheimer’s advocate and playwright of the ‘Forget Me Not’ project,” spokesperson Wendy Reeves said. The breakfast is open to the public but reservations are required by March 19.

The Forget Me Not project includes an urban stage play that “shows just how far reaching a disease like Alzheimer’s can be by effecting not just the immediate family but friends and those in the community as well,” Reeves said.

On March 23, the play “Forget Me Not” will be presented at 5 p.m. at the Von Braun Center Playhouse, 700 Monroe St. Tickets are $15. All proceeds will support Alzheimer’s research, care support and community education.

For tickets, reservations or more information, call Michelle Cain at 256-880-1575 or 800-272-3900 or email to mcain@alz.org.
