MADISON – The Alabama Patriots won the 2014 Elite Atlanta Super NIT, billed as the ‘largest single weekend amateur baseball tournament in the world.’

The 12u baseball team was the best out of 36 teams at the Atlanta event on March 14-16. Winning the tournament qualified them for the DiMarini Elite World Series at Disney World in August.

The Alabama Patriots’ roster includes Camden Hill, Logan Morris, Dylan Ray, Harrison Steward, Matt Dailey, Slate Alford, Caden Rose, Colin Baeder, Avery Seaton and Jayce Guyette.

The Atlanta win was the Patriot’s second championship in this young, spring season. They boast a 16-3 record overall with a team batting average of .475.

The Elite Atlanta Super NIT drew teams from across the Southeast, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina and Ohio.
