Playing in Pink; Bob Jones and James Clemens wrap up season series

MADISON-  With the season winding down, Bob Jones and James Clemens split a doubleheader Tuesday night.

Bob Jones won the first game 9-2 and James Clemens won the second game 12-2.

Taylor Borst pitched the first game for James Clemens and allowed 6 earned runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. He was relieved by Eric Patterson.

Trammell Shepherd started for Bob Jones and went 5 innings allowing only one run. He was relieved by Jessie Wheeler who pitched two innings.

Bob Jones got three runs in the third inning and added five in the sixth.

Grant Chandler had a double and drove in a run in the third inning. He went 2-4 for Bob Jones and had one RBI. Matt Sanders went 1 for 2 with two walks and two runs scored.

Collin Dupree singled and scored on Trey Ward’s double.

For James Clemens, Tyler Lynd went three for three and knocked in the Jets only run.

In the second game, James Clemens won 12-2 in 5 innings.

For Bob Jones, Nathan Burch started and Matt Sanders relieved.Tucker Clark started for James Clemens.

Jordan Anderson had a big game with a double that scored Nick Sainato and Sammy Dennis. He also had a walk that forced in a run.  James Clemens plated 9 runs in the third inning.

Bob Jones will wrap up area play by hosting Sparkman Thursday night at 6 p.m. and travels to Sparkman Friday for a doubleheader starting at 4:30. James Clemens will play their last home game Saturday starting at 11 a.m. against East Limestone. It is Senior Day.
