A Huntsville resident is among this year’s recipients of scholarships

A Huntsville resident is among this year’s recipients of scholarships from the Alabama Home Builders Foundation. Heath Roeber received a scholarship to study building science at Auburn University. He is the son of Allen and Julianna Roeber. The Alabama Home Builders Foundation scholarship program was created in order to help alleviate the qualified labor shortage. To apply for an Alabama Home Builders Foundation Scholarship, you must be a resident of Alabama; enrolled in, or attending a junior college, technical school or university in Alabama; and you must be enrolled in a construction-related curriculum. Examples of such curricula include brick masonry, carpentry, cabinet making and plumbing. For more information, contact Artemis Moore at the HBAA at 334.834.3006 or 1.800.745.4222, or go online to www.ahbfoundation.org.
