Kimberly Day Groom July 9, 1964 – June 3, 2014

Kimberly D. Groom, of Madison, passed away Tuesday at the age of 50. She was a native of Leesburg, VA, but lived and raised a family for 27 years in Madison. Kimberly was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard, 161st Medical Battalion. Mrs. Groom is survived by her husband of 31 years, Kevin Groom, their three children: Joseph Groom, Julianne Groom, and Christopher Groom; and her father Russell Spiess. A memorial service was conducted at Asbury United Methodist Church on Hughes Road in Madison, AL on Monday, June 9th at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Kimberly be made to: Madison Hospital Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation, 101 Sivley Road, Huntsville, AL, 35801, or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312 (online at https://donations.diabetes.org). Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
