Lyrique Music Productions to present ‘Legally Blonde, The Musical’

HUNTSVILLE, MADISON – The misadventures and comic situations of Elle Woods will come to life in Lyrique Music Productions’ presentation of “Legally Blonde, The Musical.”

Based on the movie by the same title, “Legally Blonde” follows Elle Wood after life-shattering rejection from her wannabe fiancee Warner Huntington III. Elle rebounds from the Delta Nu sorority house to excel in the courtroom.

“Legally Blonde” is a high-energy show that speaks a loud message about empowerment and overcoming stereotypes.

Kathleen O’Hara portrays Elle Woods, and Lindsay Keith is serving as alternate.

The main cast includes Zaylin Yates (Emmett Forrest), Ashley Guertin (Paulette Bonafante), Dylan Michael Davis (Professor Callahan), Richard Brasseale (Warner Huntington III), Vivienne Kensington (Anna Quirk) and Maddy Bonifay and Adrienne Dauma (Brooke Wyndam).

Many cast members live in Madison. Actors Leah Boyd, Suzi Day, Elena Gimenez, Chris Gunner, Nolan Gunner and Basia Marotta attend Bob Jones High School. Kayla Braxton is a student at James Clemens High School.

Richard Basseale, Adrienne Dauma, Brenton Nash, Olivia Skillern and Zaylin Yates are recent graduates of Bob Jones.

Luz Ladrillano is directing the musical. Christian Gunner is assistant director. Robert Ladrillano and Jay Hixon are producing “Legally Blonde.”

Other staff includes technical director Lynn Broad, music director Gianna Gimenez and choreographer Renee Bonifay.

Show dates at the Von Braun Center Playhouse are July 25, 7 p.m.; July 26-27, 2 and 7 p.m.; Aug. 1, 7 p.m.; Aug. 2, 2 and 7 p.m.; and Aug. 3, 2 p.m.

Lyrique Music Productions, a non-profit organization, provides a venue for actors and artists to express their creativity and talent. With their productions, the group hopes to enlighten and educate the audience.
