Madison Board of Education plans retreat on Monday

MADISON – Members of Madison Board of Education will have an instructional retreat on Monday.

Board members will gather at 7:30 to 11 a.m. on Aug. 11 in the boardroom of the Central Office, 211 Celtic Drive.

Dr. Phillip Kovacs with the University of Alabama in Huntsville will speak on “Innovations and Trends in Education.”

Board members will report on committees that they chair. Connie Spears will discuss governmental affairs. David Hergenroeder will talk about capital planning, along with finance.

Ranae Bartlett will update retreat participants about Madison City Schools policy and curriculum. The board also will discuss district goals.
