James Dexter Robison January 20, 1935 – September 14, 2014

James “Dexter” Robison, 79, of Madison, passed away Sunday, September 14. Mr. Robison retired from the Madison County Health Department after more than 30 years of service as an Environmentalist. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 56 years. Mr. Robison was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Robison; two daughters, Lisa Walls (Jessie) and Janet Ballinger (Phillip); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virgie Hovis and Bertie Davis; and brother, Kenneth Robison.
Visitation was held Monday, September 15th from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Service was held on Tuesday, September 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Madison and Reverend Ernest Hill officiating. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
