HARVEST – The North Alabama Radio Control Association (NARCA) will host the Southeastern Radio Control Glider Event at the NARCA field in Harvest this week.

Gliders will take to the air on Oct. 2-5. “Check-in day for event pilots is Oct. 2,” NARCA publicist Cliff Lanham said. “This event draws pilots from Michigan, Texas, Alabama, Florida and Georgia.”

The NARCA field (Epps Field) is on Carroll Road in Harvest. The intersection of Carroll and Harvest roads is a good reference point, Lanham said.

Visitors are welcome to observe the gliders at no cost. Pilots who are interested in flying in this event can email to Tim Batt at tbatt@knology.net.

For general NARCA information, email to clanham@knology.net.
