Strong’s book, ‘When Tulips Bloom,’ gives hope to readers

MADISON – Stephanie Rox Strong has written her debut book, “When Tulips Bloom.” The book’s subtitle is “A Personal Guide For Blossoming Through the Difficult Seasons of Life.”

Strong describes her book as non-fiction — part narrative, inspirational and instructional. She uses a tulip’s life cycle “as a metaphor to illustrate the process of transitioning from one season to another.” Planted in fall, the tulip bulb enters dormancy, relying on its underground storage supply until blossoming in spring, she said.

“So it is with many who have found themselves in a place of dark dormancy. Deep beneath the surface of circumstances, they have the ability through Divine power to sustain until their season of full blossom,” Strong said.

Strong hopes that readers can use her story “to journey through their most difficult season.”

Her motivation for the book occurred one spring morning. “I was out on a run and noticed a bed of beautiful tulips arrayed in colorful blossoms. Instantly, the title came to me because I knew that the tulip blooms had to endure a dark season in order to blossom,” Strong said.

For success as an author, Strong tells her story “from a place of transparency and honesty to help others reach their highest possible authentic self on their own personal growth journey.”

Strong works as a personal growth and productivity coach and is a certified and licensed LIFO trainer. She owns the web-based “Presence With Purpose Center for Inner Healing and Personal Growth.” She conducts workshops, seminars, personal growth training and speaking engagements.

Now an Edgewater resident, Strong has lived in the Madison/Huntsville area for 24 years. After moving from Boston, she returned to college and has owned her own businesses.

Strong will have a “Meet the Author” session at Madison Public Library on July 13 at 6 p.m. The book is available at presencewithpurpose.net and amazon.com.
