Historical society recruiting third-grade writers

MADISON – Madison Station Historical Preservation Society is sponsoring the “2015 My Community Writing Contest” for third-graders in Madison.

Students who live in Madison in third grade of public, private and home schools are eligible to enter.

Students will write on the topic “What I Like About Living in Madison.” The composition should be 150 to 200 words. The back of each paper must include the student’s name, name of the child’s teacher and school name.

Contestants should submit papers by Nov. 20 to Beth Bero, Gifted Specialist, Horizon Elementary School, 7855 Old Madison Pike, Madison, AL 35758.
