MADISON – Electrifying music will emanate from James Clemens High School auditorium when the Jets Band presents their fourth annual “Sounds of the Stadium Concert.”

The concert on Nov. 12 starts at 7 p.m. “Mark your calendars and plan to attend the musical highlight of the fall,” band publicist Amy West said.

“The Sounds of the Stadium Concert is a highly energetic indoor extravaganza performed by the band, color guard, dance team and drum line. These units are all under the direction of Keith Anderson and Stuart Tankesley,” West said.

Taking the raucous, loud and exciting atmosphere of the football stadium into “the elegant confines of the state-of-the-art James Clemens auditorium is a unique experience,” West said.

The concert’s centerpiece will be this year’s marching competition show, “A Time To Speak.” The 2015 show consists of three movements: “A Time to Speak — Courage,” “A Time to Speak — Vision” and “A Time to Speak — Hope.”  In addition, the band will play all of the Jets fans’ favorite cheer music, stand tunes and a stirring military tribute.

The evening also includes a silent auction with donated merchandise from local businesses and individuals. A dessert reception will immediately follow the concert. In past years, items up for auction have ranged from spa gift certificates to original artwork to getaway trips, West said.

Event proceeds will help build James Clemens Band program by purchasing new instruments, equipment and uniforms as the program continues to grow. “In just four short years, James Clemens Band has won a multitude of awards and recognition from as far away as the United Kingdom,” West said.

On Jan. 1, 2017, the band will perform in the New Year’s Parade in London, England. Sounds Of the Stadium Concert will help to make this trip possible as one of the band’s major annual fundraisers.

Advance tickets are $8 and are available from any band, dance team or color guard student. Tickets are $10 at the door.
