MADISON – Madison Arts Council (MAC) will offer a class for making lanterns on Nov. 7.

The class will meet at Dublin Park from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. “Thanks to our sponsor, Inline Lighting, MAC can offer the classes free for you to make your lantern,” MAC President Beth Ridgeway said.

To register for the class, visit artsmadison.org/lantern-parade.

The second annual “Lantern Parade” is scheduled for Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m. Children who are 12 years old and younger will parade down Main Street with their lanterns to the Christmas trees on Front Street. The trees will officially light up as the children approach.

The Lantern Parade will be the first event in the activities for “Christmas Magic in Downtown Madison.”

Tina Clark with MAC is coordinating the event. For more information, email to info@artsmadison.org.
