MADISON – James Clemens’ men lit up the basketball court Friday night with a 58-47 win over Hazel Green at home.

The Jets led the Trojans the entire game, sometimes by 20 points or more. Good rebounding, good ball movement and well-made shots kept James Clemens on top throughout the game.

Zach Hancock (25) had a killer game with solid rebounds, several shots from outside the three point line and a dunk in the second half, resulting in 20 points on the score board. Bradley Belt (5) had a big game as well with 12 points in the game, and Marcus Lacey (23) contributed 11 points in the nine-point win over the Trojans.

Unfortunately, the women weren’t as fortunate with a 53-18 loss to Hazel Green. The team moved the ball well, but didn’t take opportunities for shots. When they did shoot the ball, they couldn’t get it in the net. Fouls didn’t help the team in the more than 30-point loss, either.

Regan Williams (12) lead the team with nine points against the Trojans. Brooke Baugh (15), Kayli Claflin (20), Adrian Grant (11) and Camryn Samuel (30) each got two points apiece, and Brianna Williams (14) contributed one point to the team’s 18.
