MADISON – American Legion Post 229 of Madison will collect the Christmas wreaths that have decorated veterans’ gravesites in Madison during the holiday season.

Legion members welcome any community volunteers to gather on Jan. 9 at 9 a.m. at Madison Memory Gardens on Hughes Road, just north of City Hall. The group then will go to the other city cemeteries on Mill Road, commander Carlos Woods said.

Anyone who is interested in helping can contact Woods by calling 256-508-6548 or emailing woodscarlos12@gmail.com.
