MADISON – James Clemens High School Theatre will host a roller skate and rock climb fundraiser at Insanity Complex on Jan. 25.

The event will run from 5 to 9 p.m. Proceeds will benefit James Clemens’ production of “Beauty and the Beast,” the school’s 2016 spring musical.

Insanity Complex’s address is 100 Skate Park Drive, at the corner of Hughes and Mill roads.

Armbands for the event are $15 and available from any theatre student and at the event. In addition, tickets are available online at Showtix4u.com.

“Let Insanity Complex employees know that you are there to support James Clemens Theatre,” director and drama teacher Amy Patel said.

Admission price will include roller skating, fun at the rock climbing wall and $5 of tokens for games. Guests should wear socks and closed toe shoes.

The 30-foot indoor rock-climbing wall has nine challenging routes. The array of games includes a “Star Wars” pod, Transformers, Simpson’s soccer, motorcycle and car racing, Batman, retro games and more options.

Guests also can take a thrilling round in the roller skating rink at Insanity Complex.

James Clemens Theatre will receive 10 percent of the night’s proceeds.

James Clemens earned state honors at 2015 Walter Trumbauer State Secondary Theatre Festival at Troy University in December 2015. The Madison actors and technical crew will present their one-act play “Silenced on Barbour Street” and represent the state of Alabama at Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC) in Greensboro, N.C. on March 2-6.

Also at state Trumbauer competition, James Clemens’ production of “Silenced on Barbour Street” won “Best Technical Production” and “Best in Show.” Jessica Russ and Becky Protos were named to the All-Star Cast.

Amy Patel and Clint Merritt lead the theatre department at James Clemens.
