American Legion hosts oratorical contest

Youth can enter the Madison County High School Oratorical Contest at Madison City Hall on Jan. 30. CONTRIBUTED

MADISON – Madison County American Legion posts will conduct their first Madison County High School Oratorical Contest on Jan. 30.

The oratorical contest will be held at Madison City Hall, 100 Hughes Road, at 9 a.m. The contest theme is the U.S. Constitution.

The oratorical contest is open to the public, and any student in high school across Madison County, City of Madison or City of Huntsville can enter.

“Come out and see our young American high school students speak about our United States Constitution,” Carlos F. Woods said. Woods is Commander of American Legion Post 229 in Madison.
