MADISON – Rotary Club of Madison will host its 14th annual Parrots of the Caribbean, “Madison’s Premier Beach Party,” an evening, outdoor event of live music and festivities.

Parrots will he held on Aug. 27 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Insanity Complex.

“Parrotheads and music lovers everywhere are invited to don their grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts and island wear to enjoy dancing, dining and libations in a fabulous island theme,” publicist Mike Keenan said. “This fundraising event has grown from a small gathering of Madison Rotarians to a spectacular event attended by nearly 700 guests from all over the Southeast.”

New for 2016, Calypso Vision and Juice will offer musical entertainment. “Calypso Vision, a good ‘ol’ rock and roll’ band with an island theme will get you started dreamin’ of good times and riches as well as boats, bars and beaches,” Keenan said.

Featured musical guest Juice will energize the evening “with R&B, funk and party-and-dance mix that’s sure to get you moving. You can sit back, relax and enjoy the show or dance the night away under the stars. Fins up, Madison!” Keenan said.

Parrots will include a raffle of gift baskets and live auction.

Delicious Caribbean-style food, soft drinks, domestic and craft beers and wine will be available for purchase. All guests must be 21 or older, have a valid ID and are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Coolers, pets, strollers and outside food and drink are not permitted. Parrots will be held rain or shine.

Advance tickets are $20, or $25 at the event. To purchase tickets online, visit madisonalrotary.org/parrots (service charge of $2.09/ticket). Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets with a credit card by calling 256-564-2075 and leave a callback number.
