MADISON – Eight individuals are inductees to the 2016 Hall of Fame at Bob Jones High School.
Hall of Fame recognizes both outstanding alumni and people who did not graduate from Bob Jones for significant career contributions or service to the school. Inductees will be honored at the homecoming parade on Sept. 22 and the football game on Sept. 23.
* Jackie Dukemineer – A graduate of Butler High School, he is a Vietnam War veteran. Dukemineer retired from U.S. Postal Service. For 25-plus years, he has supported Patriot sports programs. He and wife Dianna have two children, Krista and Bill.
* Jennifer Voorhies Flanagan – A 2006 Bob Jones graduate, Flanagan is an assistant principal at James Clemens High School. She taught English at Bob Jones five years and was nominated for Teacher of the Year. Her parents are Laura Voorhies and the late Tom Voorhies; Jennifer is married to Michael Flanagan.
* Jessye Gessner Gaines – Another 2006 graduate, Gaines helped found Bob Jones Engineering Academy; organized Society of Women Engineers, GreenPower USA Racing Team and National Technical Honor Society; and developed Engineering 4 Tomorrow internships. Her parents are Mark and Mary Jo Gessner. She and husband Luke are parents of Kay and Glenne.
* Bobby Jackson – Recently retired as transportation director, Jackson worked 33 of his 42-year career in Madison. He was Bob Jones Athletic Director for 23 years, earning many awards in coaching all sports. He added soccer and golf. His parents are the late Odis and Louise Jackson. Bobby is married to Gayle Jackson.
* Allen Paseur – As Patriots head football coach, Paseur amassed a 34-9 record and led Bob Jones to first-ever state playoff in 1983. His players appreciated his emphasis on selflessness and discipline. He was married to the late Deborah Certhin Paseur; they have two children, Andrea and Dustin.
* Joe Ricky Sizemore – With Sizemore as head football coach, the Patriots won numerous county and area championships. In 1990, he became assistant principal at Liberty Middle School. He was administrator for several other districts. He and wife Judy Shannon are parents of Justin and Eric.
* Brian Sparks – Residents of Homewood, Brian and wife Rebecca are parents of Avary and Gavin. Brian works for Daniel Corporation in residential real estate. In 2013, Alabama Association of Realtors named him Alabama Realtor of the Year.
* Marc Jacobson – Retied Lt. Col. Marc Jacobson graduated from West Point and Johns Hopkins University. For 12 years, he served on Madison City Council. Jacobson chaired the committee that guided establishment of Madison City Schools district. He and wife Denise are parents of Paige, Adam and Amy.
