District 1, 7 runoff is Oct. 4

Madison’s runoff election on Oct. 4 will decide representatives for districts 1 and 7 in Madison City Council. CONTRIBUTED

MADISON – The municipal runoff election in Madison will be conducted on Oct. 4.
This runoff will decide two positions for Madison City Council.
In District 1, James Ross and Maura Wroblewski are vying for the council seat. The District 7 candidates are John Seifert and Lena Sledge.
Elected on Aug. 23 without a runoff were Mayor Paul Finley; City Council, District 2, Steve Smith; District 3, Teddy Powell; District 4, Greg Shaw; District 5, Tommy Overcash; and District 6, Gerald Clark.
Deadline to submit an absentee ballot application was Sept. 29.
