MADISON – The homecoming parade for James Clemens High School has a new route this year and will impact traffic along County Line Road and its neighborhoods on Oct. 13.
The parade units will line up at Heritage Elementary School at 11775 County Line Road. The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. and travel south to James Clemens High School at 11306 County Line Road.
Police officers will close all side streets along the route. The police department asks motorists to avoid the section of County Line Road from Brown’s Ferry Road to Mill Road.
The police departments urges residents to make alternate travel plans. For north/ south traffic through Madison, motorists can use Wall Triana, Hughes Road or Slaughter Road as an alternative to County Line Road.
Madison Police Department will provide traffic control and security for this route. The department asks motorists to be mindful of officers who will be stopping and directing traffic.
“This a new route for James Clemens’ parade. Please be patient, follow traffic directions and make alternate travel plans as needed,” a police spokesperson said.
