MADISON – Harrison Lockett has a good reason to like football more than other sports.
“My daddy was a really good football player at the University of Southern Mississippi,” Harrison said.
Harrison played Upwards Flag Football for the Panthers as running back, wide receiver and quarterback.
In addition, Harrison played basketball for the Thunder and baseball for the Phillies in Madison. In baseball, he played pitcher, first base and left field.
At Columbia Elementary School, Harrison is in third grade and participates in Drama Club and Math Club. His parents are Akeem and Jordan Lockett. Akeem works as a software developer. Formerly a school teacher, Jordan now is a stay-at-home mom.
Harrison’s brother Reese is a Columbia second-grader. Their sisters are Embrey, who attends Madison City Schools Pre-Kindergarten Center, and three-year-old Edie Jane.
“Our family moved to Madison in March 2008, when I was two weeks old. My dad got a job as a software developer for NASA,” Harrison said.
