WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman Mo Brooks (AL-05) has been sworn into the 115th Congress for a fourth term.
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan officiated at the ceremony for Brooks on Jan. 3. Congressman Brooks was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives on Nov. 2, 2010.
“As the 115th Congress begins its work, I am grateful for the opportunity to tackle head-on the pressing issues the American people elected a unified Republican House, Senate and President to address,” Brooks said.
“Republicans in Washington are eager to serve the American people by restoring fiscal responsibility, enforcing our immigration laws, balancing the nation’s trade deficit and rolling back burdensome federal regulations,” Brooks said.
“I appreciate the trust that the citizens of North Alabama have placed in me. It is a tremendous honor to continue serving the people of Alabama’s Fifth Congressional District,” Brooks said.
The Fifth Congressional District of Alabama covers the counties of Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison and Morgan, along with the majority of Jackson County.
