MADISON – Immanuel Wilder prefers the game of baseball for “the competitive atmosphere inside the batter’s box and in the outfield.”

“Individual achievements require much hard work to gain a few shining moments in each game, but it’s worth the effort for a team win,” Wilder said.

He is a senior at James Clemens High School. Wilder plays football and baseball at James Clemens. In baseball, his position is outfield; in football, he plays wide receiver and kick/punt returner.

Wilder is involved in the Huntsville Kappa League, which is associated with the Kappa Alpha Psi Inc. Fraternity.

“My parents both work on Redstone Arsenal. My mom is a professional development counselor, and my dad is a supervisor for ACAA,” Immanuel said.

“My parents were relocated from St. Louis, Mo. to Redstone Arsenal in 1993,” Immanuel said. “They chose to live in Madison because they knew it was a progressive city with potential for a great school system, and they were right.”
