MADISON – Students at Bob Jones High School held a special ‘pre-Valentine’ event to raise money for the Kids to Love foundation.

For “A Night to Love for Kids to Love” on Feb. 11, students staged the gymnasium with a casino theme featuring various card games. Another component of the party was swing dancing.

To introduce swinging dancing, instructors from a local studio taught dance steps to the students. Live music filled the gym until 10 p.m. Food trucks fed the hungry crowd, Kids to Love Communications Director Julie Reyburn said.

Sponsors for A Night to Love for Kids to Love were Bob Jones Innovations Class, Tri-M Music Honor Society and the Student Government Association.

All profits from the evening were donated to Kids to Love.

Incorporated in 2004, Kids to Love has enriched the lives of 200,000-plus children in foster care. The organization operates 15 programs, including efforts to place children into “Forever Families” through adoption. For more information, call 256-880-3455 or visit kidstolove.org
