Orchestra announces concert schedule

MADISON – Madison City Community Orchestra has announced its schedule for the 2017 concert season.

For its spring concert, the orchestra will present “A Night at the Ballet,” which shows the interaction of great composers to add music to classical dance. The spring concert will be held on May 5 at 7 p.m. in James Clemens High School Auditorium, MCCO Director Sandy Weisner said.

On July 4, MCCO will perform its “Fourth of July Extravaganza” at Dublin Park. The time for the concert has not been confirmed.

On Oct. 15 at 7 p.m., their “Broadway’s Metamorphosis” concert will show the impact and importance of music in American theatre. Concert location will be announced later.

For its holiday concert, MCCO will perform “Christmas Memories” on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. Location will be published later.
