Jets present ‘Around the World in 80 Days’

MADISON – Guests can travel the world in amazing, laugh-filled speed with James Clemens Theatre’s production of “Around the World in 80 Days.”

Show times will be April 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. and April 8 at 2 and 7 p.m. in James Clemens High School Auditorium.

“Want to see action, adventure, romance, fun cannibals, Egyptians and silliness? Then don’t miss ‘Around the World in 80 Days,’” drama instructor and director Amy Patel said. Clint Merritt is technical director.

This comical play is set circa 1890 with the misadventures of Passepartout, a Chinese thief, who enlists safe haven and refuge from his friend Phileas Fogg, an eccentric inventor and adventurer in London.

Fogg accepts a gambling proposition from his gentlemen’s club, which takes him and Passepartout on a preposterous excursion around the world in hilarious modes of transport, including boats, trains, balloons – even elephants. (imdb.com)
