Rotarians lend help to Martin Street homeowner

MADISON – A resident on Martin Street in downtown Madison is enjoying home and yard improvements after a workday by members of Rotary Club of Madison.

Madison Rotarians coordinated arrangements with Nexus Energy Center to install insulation at the home of at Leslie Puckett on Martin Street. In addition, club members trimmed shrubbery and overgrown spots in general cleanup of the home’s yard on March 25.

“Nexus supplied the insulation, and we helped with the installation, particularly Rotarian John Possel and Chad Wright from Nexus,” club publicist Carla Daily said. The Martin Street work is one example of the Rotarians’ “Done-in-a-Day” projects to tackle smaller service undertakings, start to finish, in one workday.

About 20 Madison Rotarians volunteered at Pickett’s home. “Thanks to Nexus Energy Center for allowing us to be your Done-in-a-Day partner,” Daily said.
