James Clemens ranks high with technology conference

MADISON – James Clemens High School students excelled in computer skills at Alabama Council for Technology in Education conference.

The College of Business and the Department of Information Systems at Auburn University Montgomery co-sponsored the conference in April. “Our students worked hard on their projects and represented James Clemens very well,” sponsor Kayla Grantham said.

In the computer programming division, Holden Wells and Eli Canup were the first-place winners in Level 5 Group. Andres Montoya and Raj Patel earned second place in the Level 5 Group.

Kevin Zheng took second place in individual competition for Level 4. In the website design division, Robert Thompson claimed third place in individual competition for Level 5.

Established in the early 1980s, Alabama Council for Technology in Education promotes general education and knowledge of technology for Alabama students in grades 3-12. The subject matter ranges from computer literacy to video production.
