Knights of Columbus sponsor blood drive

MADISON – Knights of Columbus, Assembly 2420, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will sponsor its regular, bi-monthly American Red Cross blood drive on Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will set up for the blood drive outside the church basement.

“The need for blood in North Alabama is constant, especially as the weather turns warmer and vacation travel increases,” spokesperson John Horch said. “Your participation is greatly appreciated by the Red Cross and St. John’s Knights of Columbus, but most of all by those who need blood because of accident or illness.”

“Please take a few minutes out of your busy schedule and give the gift of life,” Horch said.

St. John’s address is 1057 Hughes Road. For more information, call the church office at 256-722-0130 or Horch at 256-772-3280.
