Fidos After Five returns to botanical garden

MADISON – Huntsville Botanical Garden is bringing back one of its most popular and fun-filled events — Fidos After Five.

“This time, it is better than ever with four extra doggie evenings per week,” marketing manager Katelyn Henderson said. “You can bring your pooch to the garden to enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds during August and September on Monday through Thursday evenings from 5 p.m. until close.”

“Leash up Rover, pack a snack and head to the garden for a tail waggin’ good time,” Henderson said. “Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and secure your favorite spot to enjoy the garden in the cool of the evening.”

The no-leash zone will be a favorite with the four-legged friends. The garden is offering this chance for dogs to chase Frisbees or play with other pups.

The fee is $1 for each dog during each visit, or the pet owner can purchase a Paws Pass for $10 for the season. Garden admission or membership applies to owners.

“Families, friends and man’s best friend will enjoy the chance to stretch their legs and run off some excess energy. Butterflies will still be fluttering, the birds on the birding trails will be singing and the garden will be alive with color and the sounds of laughter,” Henderson said.
