Recycle glass now near City Hall

MADISON – Residents now can recycle glass items in a dumpster located just north of City Hall, 100 Hughes Road.

Workers moved this dumpster from Discovery Middle School to its new location. Residents should not leave any glass items at Discovery or James Clemens High School.

Madison City Council recently authorized Mayor Paul Finley to amend a glass recycling agreement with Republic Services.

Generally, all household glass is recyclable. However, large pieces of glass, like windowpanes, glass doors and car windshields, are not.

“Thank you for recycling and keeping our community beautiful,” a spokesperson said.
