Send a Singing Valentine from Southern Splendor

MADISON – Members of Southern Splendor Chorus will deliver an extraordinary gift to your special person on Valentine’s Day.

“Woo that special person in your life in a special way. Send them a Singing Valentine,” chorus member Ralph Cobb said.

The unique gift includes two songs by Southern Splendor, a rose and a greeting card with the sender’s customized message. Pricing depends upon requirements for time precision on Feb. 14. Southern Splendor members will sing between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Valentine’s Day.

The barbershop musicians will visit the sweetheart’s location within a 25-mile radius of Athens. To schedule a delivery appointment, individuals must call 256-431-5352.

Pricing for a Singing Valentine depends upon the requirements for time precision on Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day. Southern Splendor is offering three price ranges:

* Any time between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. — $40 for a delivery at a time of the quartet’s convenience.

* Specified time within a four-hour time window specified by the sender — $50 for this delivery.

* Delivery within 30 minutes of a time that the sender specifies — $75 for this more exact delivery time.

Southern Splendor Chorus is North Alabama’s premier a cappella singing group, performing many genres of music, all in the barbershop style. “However, it’s not about the music; it’s about making music together,” Cobb said.

“The camaraderie and fun is second to none. We also take our craft seriously,” Cobb said.

For three consecutive contest cycles, Southern Splendor Chorus was recognized as the “Most Improved Chorus.” The chorus then captured first place in Plateau A at the 2017 Dixie Division Fall Convention.
