Party in the Park to benefit Madison Hospital

MADISON – A local event will combine food trucks, great music and a live auction to raise money for Madison Hospital.

Hosted by Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Party in the Park will be held at Insanity Complex, 100 Skate Park Drive on March 2 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Guests will enjoy food truck offerings from I Love Bacon, Fire & Spice and Sugar Belle, while sipping on signature “Moonshine” cocktails. JUICE, a local band on the party circuit, will perform live.

Ten-plus years ago, JUICE organized as a band and has changed into a feel-good music experience in funk, rhythm & blues, party and dance sounds. The band has shared the stage with such artists as Kool & the Gang, Boyz II Men, Hootie and the Blowfish, Cowboy Mouth and many others.

“Our mission is to make you shake your booty and to have fun while doing it,” according to JUICE’s Facebook page.

Event proceeds will help to purchase an additional operating table for joint replacement in Madison Hospital’s Surgery Department. The hospital, which is not-for-profit, has seen a 20 percent increase in orthopedic cases during the past four years.

“With the number of total hip and knee procedures growing due to the aging baby boomer generation, it is critical that we plan accordingly and have the equipment required to perform these orthopedic procedures,” Madison Hospital President Mary Lynne Wright said.

“Party in the Park will help us achieve this goal, so please buy your tickets and support your local hospital,” Wright said.

A not-for-profit organization, Huntsville Hospital Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of Huntsville and Madison hospitals. The foundation works to strengthen relationships between the hospitals and community.

The foundation accepts both individual and corporate gifts on the hospital’s behalf and works to fund present and future equipment and program needs.

Tickets are $25 each and include event and entertainment. To buy tickets, call 256-265-8077 or visit huntsvillehospitalfoundation.org. The party is open to anyone who is at least 21 years old.
