Dublin to host Trunk-or-Treat for special-needs individuals

MADISON – Madison residents can enjoy the Special Needs Trunk-or-Treat and Picnic on Oct. 28.

Dublin Park will host the event from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Sponsors are the City of Madison, Autism Resource Foundation, Madison City Disability Advocacy Board or MCDAB, AMBUCS and MASP.

“The Trunk-or-Treat Picnic is focused on individuals with special needs of all ages and their families. Participants are welcome to dress up in their costumes,” City Event and Volunteer Coordinator Gayle Milam said.

Admission is free. The trunk-or-treating area will be set up in the grassy area across from Kid’s Kingdom.

Trunk-or-treating time will open from 3 to 4:30 p.m. At each trunk, the trick-or-treaters can receive candy, or items other than candy, for those on special diets.

From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., visitors can participate in games, activities and a picnic.

Reservation is required by Oct. 21. To register, email mc@autism-alabama.org.
