Repticon returning to Huntsville this weekend

HUNTSVILLE — North Alabamians will have two opportunities this weekend to enjoy some unconventional, educational and family-friendly fun when Repticon returns to Huntsville to showcase a few fascinating animals.

Vendors, breeders and educators will be onsite to help attendees see and learn about their animals, including reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, spiders and small exotic animals.

Attendees will also have a chance to shop for new pets that they might not find in the average pet store. Repticon will also have plenty of merchandise, cages and both live and frozen feeders available at the event, as well as other supplies.

Anyone interested in any of these animals will have plenty of opportunities to learn about them through the breeders and vendors at Repticon, as well as seminars on various animal-related topics, courtesy of herpetology experts. Many of the vendors also allow live interactions with these pets at their booths and will be happy to offer advice in caring for them as pets.

In addition to showcasing the animals, Repticon will be holding free-to-enter raffles for a chance to win “coveted prizes.”

The event will be held at the Jaycee Community Building in Huntsville, located at 2200 Jaycee Way SE off of Airport Road SW. Doors will be open to the general public from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and will reopen from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12 at the door. Children under 5 years of age will be admitted for free. To purchase VIP or advance tickets, visit repticon.com/alabama-2/huntsville.

Repticon is intended for all ages and designed to suit a diverse range of enthusiasts.
